At Lytchett we believe in the importance of an all-round education, which develops the whole child. One way to ensure that our students fl ourish and thrive is to provide them with a rich and varied curriculum.
To increase students’ awareness of what extra- curricular activities we offer, and to encourage them to
participate in them, we organised a Freshers’ Fair (based on the university model). In addition to a wide range of music and sporting opportunities, students have the possibility of attending Computer Club, Chess Club, Food Club, Art Club, Debating Society, Book Club, Young Chamber (bridging the gap between school and the world of work), Eco Club and many others. The event was a great success! It was most gratifying to see hundreds of students signing up for the different activities on offer. There was a real buzz in the hall as students went from stand to stand.
One of the most popular stands was that of the forthcoming school production, Beauty and the Beast. We are expecting over 150 students to be taking part in auditions for the show in the days ahead. The show will take place 8th, 9th & 10th November in the Gainsford Theatre. You are most welcome to join us for these performances – it promises to be very entertaining.
