Uca lEarnIng & DEVElopmEnt portfolIo Uca offers a range of non-clinical training from management skills to health & safety. this month the focus is on pharmacy management & leadership Ilm level 5.
the first cohort to take Uca’s pharmacy management & leadership programme have just received their Ilm certificates and trainers pcm associates have received praise from the Institute of leadership management for the excellent standard of assignments submitted.
our delegates thoroughly enjoyed the course too: ‘the Uca Ilm course provided an excellent and well- rounded overview of management skills and practices applicable to working in a community pharmacy. the 2017 course started in february, but, as it is modular, you can join the programme at any point. comprising six sessions through the year, all participants can qualify for an Institute of leadership management level 5 accreditation.
assignments can be based on the pharmacy, so it’s a great way to improve the business as well as upskilling the individual. the next training day is monday 4 September and places are available.

Uca prE-rEgIStratIon traInIng programmE places are still available on the Uca’s pre-registration training programme 2017-18. the eight-day programme runs September 2017 - may 2018, with trainer Sharon mcEvoy and expert guest speakers providing training on areas such as pain management, respiratory conditions and inhaler technique and addiction.
throughout the programme, there is focus on team working and presentation skills, aimed at building confidence and as well as competence.
