newsbrief Unity of the Triangle to Celebrate Annual World Day of Prayer


Now, more than ever, the World needs our prayers for peace. Thousands will join Silent Unity®—an international, trans-denominational 24/7 prayer ministry—and Unity churches and centers around the world on Septem- ber 14 for the 24th annual Unity World Day of Prayer. The theme of the event is “Peace in the Midst.” Unity of the Triangle’s affirmation this year is “The World Awakens to Peace.” “World Day of Prayer gives us


an opportunity to come together in celebration of our oneness with God, each other, and our world. We must first find peace within. Through prayer we foster peace and wholeness in our community and in our individual lives,” says Meemie Lohmueller, Unity of the Triangle’s Pastoral Care Director. World Day of Prayer will begin


Wednesday, September 13, with a beautiful sacred opening service in the Sanctuary at 7:00pm to prepare everyone’s hearts and minds for prayer and meditation. The 24-hour Prayer and Meditation Vigil will begin at 8:00pm following the opening service and continue through 8:00pm on Thursday, September 14. Unity invites people of all faiths to join in this sacred
