The Next Youthologie Sound Baths to be Held September 16, 7pm–9pm. Reserve Your Place Now!

It is said by Swami Satchidananda that “music is the celestial sound, and it is sound that controls the whole universe, not atomic vibrations. Sound energy, sound power is much, much greater than any other power in the world.” Natural Awakenings Triangle spoke with Lisa Hogan, MD: Everything is made of energy and vibration. Every- thing is, literally, music. Sound therapy has been in use for millennia, and is currently being revived as a contributor to mind, body and spirit wellness. Sound therapy uses music, sound, harmonics, overtones and vibration to assist healing and support wellness. The function of music is to release us from the tyranny of conscious thought.

Studies have demonstrated the many health benefits of music, sound and vibration. Sound can lower blood pressure, heart rate and respiratory rate; reduce cardiac

complications; increase the immune response; decrease stress hormones; promote healing; and boost the body’s production of natural opiates. When integrated as part of a total approach to wellness, sound can improve your health and quality of life.

Youthologie offers two ways to experience sound therapy: individual sessions on the Feeltone Monochord Table, and group Sound Baths. Both experiences create an endless ocean of sound that allows sound vibration to travel through all cells of the body. Both experiences also have the effect of entraining brain waves into a low frequency state, causing deep relaxation and an almost instantaneous meditative state.

For information or to participate, contact Lisa Hogan, MD, at Youthologie Aesthetic & Anti-Aging Medicine. Phone 919-847-1495 or visit www.youthologie.md. See ad on this page.
