Celebrity hairdresser Jamie Stevens has brought his London hairdressing experience to Ripley, Surrey – Surrey Magazine caught up with him to find out what to expect…
Jamie Stevens is one of the UK’s best-known hairdressers – stars like Elle McPherson, Kylie, Eva Herzigova, Christian Slater, Leonardo Di Caprio, Colin Farrell and Hugh Grant rub shoulders with royalty on his A-list roster of clients. It’s no surprise that he’s in such demand, his affable nature and passion for his craft make you feel completely at ease and he’s renowned for delivering the hair of dreams.
Indeed, Jamie is passionate about the ability of his team to find the perfect style for anyone who sits in their chairs. “Hair is the accessory that you wear all of the time,” says Jamie. “You never take it off, so you should absolutely love it. But people can so easily get stuck in a rut with their hair; I did some TV makeovers on Lorraine and one of the ladies had had the same hair cut for 30 years! We wouldn’t dream of wearing the same outfit for 30 years... My team is trained to look at a client’s face shape, skin tone, hair type, personality, and to then deliver the perfect hair, so we ask you questions in your consultation about you and your hair, but we won’t ask you what you want us to do – we’re the experts and we’ll make suggestions. It might be a whole different style, it might just be a tweak on the existing style, but we’ll find it – that perfect hair.”
