AC COBRA THE CLASSIC


The BRA 289 was the fi rst 289 AC Cobra Replica to be produced in the UK. Over 260 cars were manufactured between 1981 and 1998 when production ceased.


The BRA body was designed using mouldings taken directly from an original Cobra 289. One of BRA’s fi rst customers to commission a car was Gerry Hawkridge, who later went on to join the company at management level. When BRA ceased production and trading Mr Hawkridge went on to form Hawk using the remains of the BRA Facility. Hawk replicas are still in production today.


Our BRA Cobra replica was built in the early 1980’s and retains the original 1967 registration from the MGB V8 donor car. To help preserve and ensure trouble free enjoyable ownership, upon arrival at our facility we carried out an extensive re-commissioning. Our specialist classic marque technicians removed the engine, and drive train. The chassis and underside has been inspected


and undersealed. In our engine room the Rover V8 was stripped and rebuilt using new genuine components where necessary. All suspension components have been renewed or rebuilt and reassembled. Our BRA Cobra now presents without fault both mechanically and aesthetically. Visit our website where you will fi nd more details on this car among other collectable classics we have available.
