Lytchett Minster School Lytchett Minster School ends year on a high note


When students look back on their school career, it is often the ‘extra-curricular’ activities rather than classroom based lessons that they remember with the greatest clarity and fondness.


With the school fi eld back in action after four years of disruption (post-fi re), Sports Day provided an opportunity for the top athletes to compete against each other. The whole school gathered in the afternoon along the 100 metre track to cheer on their house in the fi nals of the 100 metres and the relay races. The winning house was Purbeck.

A talented group of Year 12 Art and Textiles students put on a workshop for pupils from Lytchett Matravers, Upton


Infants and Sandford Primary. Linking the idea of the Lytchett Pyramid, the theme of the workshop was Egypt.


Finally, Lytchett Minster hosted a highly


entertaining Pyramid Music Festival, which gave the top musicians in Years 2 to 12 a chance to shine. The event was generously sponsored by Poole Bay Rotary Club.
