Easy Pumpkin Scones Perfect for Halloween baking


Makes 12 scones. 1 tbsp. butter/margarine ½ cup sugar ½ tsp mixed spice 1 egg 1 cup cold mashed pumpkin 2 cups self-raising fl our

Preheat oven to 225°C/200°C fan.


In a bowl, mix the butter and sugar until creamy, then add the egg, spice and pumpkin and beat until well combined.


• Gently fold in the fl our, and combine the dough mix with your hands, fl attening the dough out until you get to 1 inch thickness.


• Cut out scone shapes with cutter. •

Place on greased tray with 1cm space around each scone and bake for 10-20 minutes depending on the size of your scone. When cooked, they should be brown on top.


These both freeze and reheat well. Serve warm with butter.
