Every year the Everyman Theatre goes (to use a theatrical term) ‘dark’ duringAugust. This is the time when the backstage crewcan carry out vital maintenance and front of house areas can be given a coat of paint and brought up to tip top standards. Even the stunning chandelier gets winched down, dusted and light bulbs replaced.

seating/dining areas created outside the theatre and there will be a special ‘Children Eat Free’ offer towatch out for! The popularCafé Everyman will be open throughout the holidays from9-4.30pmweekdays and 9- 5pmon Saturdays. Shows on stage early in themonth
include sometop names including X Factor winner Joe McElderry with a one-night concert, Saturday Night At TheMovies Live (with special guests X Factor’s LloydDaniels and AnyDreamWillDo runners up Keith Jack and Ben James-Ellis) - this is on Wednesday 2ndAugust. Michael McIntyre returns with

MFor Murder) edge of your seats thriller,WaitUntilDark. Starring Jack Ellis (Prime Suspect&Bad Girls) and Oliver Mellor (Coronation Street) this was a classicmovie featuringAudrey Hepburn and ranked as one of the top 100 scariest films of all time. The Everyman is also selling tickets
for, and supporting, Gloucestershire- based theatre companies with strong links to the theatre. JennyWren Productions are touring their version of The Jungle Book over thesummer and Ian Kennedy Productions are on the road with Alice InWonderland and ThreeMenin aBoat.
