“Crystal clear waters fill the

channel off of the coast of Kassiopi

making it an ideal place to hire a boat and go

snorkelling for a day out in one of the coves...”

island and out towards Albania. When visiting Kassiopi there are

two staples that should always be sampled. The Greek beer ofMythos is a perfect and very refreshing drink for the hot days on the marina or whiling away the time around the pool. When you venture in to town, the second staple unto which a Mythos will accompany beautifully is aGyros.Gyros is a traditional Greek dish similar (but far better) to the

humble kebab. TheGyros takes freshly cookedmeat, crisp vegetables and tzatziki sauce and wraps it in a toasted flatbread or pita, served with fries. One of our favourite things to do is to head in to townand sit downby the marina with aGyros and aMythos and towatch theworld go by with the boats and ships coming and going form the marina. If you venture to Kassiopi the one

restaurant that takes the prize is Janis Taverna. Janis has a stunning setting in a small cove around the Kassiopi headland, which captures a

handful of moored ships and the breath-taking sunset in a scenery that is ever changing and, quite simply, award winning. The restaurant serves brilliant seafood and a stunning array of steaks with staff that are incrediblywelcoming and never disappoint. So with our time in Kassiopi nowat

an end,we will simply remain Kassiopi Dreaming for another year untilwe meet again and return to the place thatwe feel is like another home.
