The Club’s first ever Charity Duck Race took place on the Swilcan Burn on the afternoon of Sunday 30th July. Over the previous couple of weeks and on the day, 426 ducks were sold in all. A few members risked wet feet and got into the burn at the start and finishing lines to ensure that all the ducks got a fair chance and the winners could be noted. A lot of laughter was in evidence. Winners were: £50 - duck 49 - Milly Donaldson £20 - duck 138 - Julie Falconer £10 - duck 267 - Margaret Yule Thanks to everybody for their support.
