“It is so much cleaner, clear and less crowded,” Dacus said. “Bull Shoals is quieter. It’s huge and beautiful, and the other thing is the people down there. We have made so many friends and everyone is so nice. The Eastwold family are super sweet. We have gotten to know them.”

At Bull Shoals Lake Boat Dock, their motto is “We rent fun.”


Ricky says they have everything you could want in boating and fishing.


Even though the work is grinding at times, John Eastwold loved it.


“He was a classic workaholic. Work has never a negative, hard thing for him. He woke up at 5 a.m. and couldn’t wait to get to work even after 45 years. He loved running a business,” said Ricky.


Ricky was 11 when they moved to the lake and he grew up in the business. He started as a dock
