“It’s a really good thing because you can visit with friends or relatives, catch up on what’s going on in Mountain Home. The music is usually really good. I enjoy the atmosphere. It’s laid back, not stressful, peaceful. It feels safe. That is a fantastic thing,” Whalen said.

The free concert series kicks off at 7 p.m. Saturdays through the
second Saturday in September.
The mission is the same as the one in Mountain Home: to bring the community together through live music.
The musicians are mostly regional and play everything from folk, to country, to blues and they book mostly established bands, although sometimes it’s fun to introduce someone new, said Evans.
The format is similar to Mountain Home in that every attendee receives a raffle ticket when they enter and the prizes are drawn during a band break. The raffles are very popular with the community, said Evans.
At 5:30 p.m., the local farmers market is held in conjunction, so families come early and buy from the local farmers. There are food and drink vendors, and a kaleidoscope of locals and tourists
