Mountain Home Block Parties start at 7 p.m. Fridays through the second Friday in September. Admission is free. Bring a lawn chair. Food and drinks are for sale. Yellville Music on the Square takes places 7 p.m. Saturdays, on the square. Bring a lawn chair. There is food and drinks for sale. At 5:30 p.m., the local farmers market is held in conjunction with the concert. Information: www.yellvillemusiconthes- quare.com/


Join the Pickin’ in Mountain View the first Sunday of the month, now through October during the Sunday Court Square Music Concert Series. Bring a lawn chair and settle in under the shade of the oak tree on the east side of the Court House. Bands play from 2-3 p.m., and then at 3 p.m., bands host a free pickin’ session so bring an instrument and join in if you have one. If not, just sit back and enjoy the pickin’.
