Girlguiding NORPORATING


On Saturday 10th June, 1st Broadstone Brownies went to Foxlease in the New Forest for a Girlguiding event.


The event was called Magic and Mayhem and involved an overnight stay in a circus top tent. During the day the Brownies took part in lots of activities that included an infl atable helter skelter, climbing walls, zorbing balls and crazy golf. They also learnt a range of circus sills, including how to use a diablo and how to spin plates. The Brownies all thoroughly enjoyed the day’s events and were even begging for it to be bed time. The evening came and six hundred people needed to sort themselves out for sleeping in the circus top tent. This, as you can imagine, was slightly organised chaos. Luckily we all did fi t, though it was a very tight squeeze. So now the next challenge was actually getting some sleep. Sleep was minimal, but what did we all expect?


The morning soon came around and we enjoyed our breakfast in the lovely grounds of Foxlease. It was then time to leave and go home to get some rest. This event provided the Brownies with a range of new experiences, which they all enjoyed. They had a go at everything and were perfectly behaved.
