Dear Friends and Neighbours


As we enter what we hope will be a lovely summer, have you thought about taking time out to pray? Just as we get to know people by talking and listening to them and over time hopefully building a relationship with them, so prayer is a relationship with God. If we spend time, talking and listening to Him then our relationship will grow.


There are so many different ways of praying. There are the traditional prayers such as the ‘Our Father’, the prayer Jesus taught his disciples. We can take a passage of scripture, read it and then spend some time thinking and refl ecting on it, stopping if a particular sentence or even a word speaks to us. We can just take time looking at creation and refl ecting on God and thanking him for what he has given us, speaking to Him in our own words.
