A couple of years ago, I was shown a video
clip of a new vehicle. They called it a Slingshot, and I was blown away. It looked like half sports car, half motorcycle and full blown adrenalin pumping fun. Man, I wanted to drive one of those. Skip to this fall, and Blacks Corners Marine

for a drive. Me being 6’ 4” I was a little worried that I wouldn’t fit in it, but it turns out I had no problem getting in at all. The slingshot has a 2.6 litre Chevy engine, a five speed transmission and a steering wheel. It’s light enough to fall into the category of motorcycle. I kicked it down and the back tire smoked.
This puppy is fast! I ran the bike thru its paces and was very impressed with how it handled the road. When you are sitting in it, it reminded me of my friend’s Triumph Spitfire that we toured in in the 80’s. My biggest fear of the bike is the speeding tickets, as it screams at you to go fast!
