The SUBTLE Energy of Your Food Cyndi Dale and Dana Childs

Everyone knows that food gives

us energy, that it is energy, measured by calories. But is that all it is? Energy is information that vibrates, and everything is made of it. However, over 99.999-plus percent of the energies in an object are unseen, or subtle. In fact; these invisible energies

program physical reality. That means that the most important part of the food that you’re cooking, craving, and casseroling is made of the subtle stuff. Here’s where it gets interesting. Every type of food carries a metaphysical message within its subtle energy. Are you hankering for a banana? You’re likely seeking potassium, which supports the desire to connect to your soul. Reaching for a pinch of salt? Sodium partners with potassium. Potassium leads to the yearning for spiritual growth, but sodium bolsters your follow through. A lightly salted banana is sounding like the perfect pre-meditation snack!

Knowing the mystical meanings in foods can help in

practical ways. You see, sometimes our cravings (especially those serious sorts, like ice cream, muffins, and chocolate) aren’t for the no-no foodstuff. We’re really desiring the subtle energy. For example, a desire for ice cream might be a yearning for joy. We might not need to eat an entire chocolate bar if we know we’re really seeking love.

When we’re aware of a need, like empowerment or calming, we can directly go for the food loaded with that energy. We won’t graze through half the refrigerator before feeling satisfied. Or we can meet the need in a way that isn’t food at all. You might enjoy a cuddle session even more than that chocolate chip cookie. To aid you in making choices based on the metaphysical meanings of food, we’re going to discuss the subtle properties in a few everyday foods. We’ll start with proteins, fats, and carbs since we need these every day. We’ll also outline the subtle values of water and select vitamins and minerals. We think you’ll be fascinated by the offerings provided each category beyond the nutritional makeup.

Proteins represent power and strength. If you have something tough coming up—or need to flex your physical or mental muscles—reach for proteins. If you’re feeling powerless or trapped in a specific circumstance, empower yourself with lean and grass- fed meat and poultry, eggs and fish, or a vegan alternative like quinoa or hemp hearts.

Then again, you might find yourself over-eating proteins, maybe by compulsively chomping one burger after another. Take that as a sign. Get off the food wagon and consider lifting weights or uncovering your hidden powers. Who doesn’t love carbs? We should, as carbs give energy. They also create the sense of safety and security, not to mention a sprinkling of comfort and coziness. Think grandma’s house and a loaf of freshly baked bread. When young, we felt her hugs with every bite she fed us.

Longing for that special type of love you enjoyed as a child? Go ahead. Grab a carb—but maybe try a fruit or starchy vegetable instead of a box of doughnuts. Help yourself to a serving of butternut squash spiced with cinnamon and cloves and skip the bag of cheap cookies. Yeah, it’s okay to enjoy a slice of key lime pie every so often. But be sure to supplement with a non-caloric source of love, like a phone call with a friend or a good book near the fireplace.

24 • InnerRealmMagazine.com • 8453596902 How about fats? Hopefully, by now you know that fats don’t

make you fat. Actually, they establish boundaries and protection, providing the feeling of fulfillment even while they insulate and protect your organs. When you can’t stop spreading butter on the bread, you’re probably trying to insulate yourself from life’s bruising events. You might also be stuck in a cycle of self- denigration or shame. Reduce the reach for the “bad fats” like the stuff in junk, instant, and fast food, and go for decent ones, like olive or avocado oil. Or munch on a few walnuts or almonds. Then start counting the ways your life is full of wealth and joy. Of course, water is a necessity. Seventy percent of your body is water and performs vital functions like keeping you alive! Many energy experts also believe that the crystalline molecular structures of water take shape according to the ideas that we hold. Are you feeling hateful or jealous? The water molecules will appear ugly and distorted. You don’t want to spread those molecules around your body, do you? What if you concentrate on supportive and life-enhancing ideals? Those molecules will create beautiful forms and enhance every aspect of your well-being. Every mineral and vitamin holds a unique position in the range of metaphysical energies. We already talked about potassium and sodium. A sampling of other minerals? Magnesium invites your Higher Power directly into your body, while iron helps you muscle through stress. Vitamin A supports you in seeing the truth, while Vitamin C formulates connection and intimacy. Vitamin D affirms your sense joy. And Vitamin B? It supersizes the energy needed to go for your goals.

In the end, we’re all going to select foods based on our likes and dislikes, but we can thrive by boosting the subtle energies in foods with simple techniques. For instance, say a quick prayer over your food choice or supplement. Sing or chant a tone or poem when looking at or holding a foodstuff or liquid before enjoying it. It’s safe to say that focusing on good thoughts when eating or drinking will assure that its special gift will make its way through your body.
