Trends Meeting Standards Tis month’s survey centers on bus contractors and examines
the value of insourcing vs. outsourcing. Does one measure of contracting preside over the other? We explored the contracting divide for school transportation resources and graphed their results. Several participants contributed feedback to questions that
inquired about costs and efficiencies of in-house and contracted operations. Te survey was administered to 2,972 participants, all of whom indicate they are transportation directors or supervisors. Te survey resulted in a maximum of 295 responses for a return rate just shy of 10 percent. Here are the statistics. ●
