BAY AREA BUILDERS ASSOCIATION NEWS
Building Official Panel Addresses Codes, Local Issues
Three regional building officials were featured at BABA’s August luncheon, to inform the association about the state of construction in the local area. Rocky Martino from Seabrook, Kevin Byal from Dickinson, and Sean Welch from Galveston County were our guests.
The discussions covered current International Residential (IRC) codes, energy codes, electric codes, storm water issues, green building, and the general increase in activity in the area.
The lunch was well attended and wel- comed several new members. Thanks to our sponsors, who help make these luncheons possible—Dupont Corian and Zodiaq by Colt Industries, and Builders Post-Tension.
