Chesmar Sells Benefit Home to Family with Texas Children's Hospital Connection

hesmar Homes announced in August that the company has sold its Greater Houston Builders

Association Benefit Home. “This is a bright day for three important charities and for the homebuyers who purchased this beautiful, well designed home,” said Toy Wood, CEO of the GHBA. “This 32 year-old fundraiser continues to help the lives of the young, the elderly and the homeless of Houston.”

Each year two or three homes are built for the Benefit Homes Project with donated materials, labor and services by GHBA members. The homes are loaded with upgrades and amenities and sold at market value. The majority of the proceeds benefit Texas Children’s Cancer Center, the Alzheimer’s Association and

to the hospital staff for the time they had with him.

“The Asher family is very thankful for all that Texas Children's did for them and their little boy,” said Espiritu. “The family relayed to me that, ‘to be able to give back in this way is heart-warming, and you can't help but think that baby Brayden is looking down and saying thank you to Texas Children's as well.’”

Chesmar built its popular Apollo Plan for the project. The home is a 3,400 sq. ft. two-story with four bedrooms, a fifth/ study option, four full bathrooms, a two- story foyer, a formal dining room and a large family room adjacent to an open kitchen with a large breakfast room.
