Unveiling the Masquerade N

ext month, our members will dress to impress as they celebrate the night

away at the 36th annual Houston’s Best PRISM Awards. The theme this year is “Unveiling the Masquerade,” and for those of you that have spent any time in the fabulous city of New Orleans, the sights and sounds will ring familiar as we let the good times roll. Or as we like to say in the Big Easy, “Laissez les bons temps rouler!”

Held on October 6 at the Hilton Americas Hotel, the evening will prove to be one of the most exciting nights in the history of the awards as the committees have been busy planning an event you’ll never forget. Not only is it a night of celebra- tion, but it is also a time to recognize the success of our builders, developers, remodelers and associate members for their achievements over the past year.

The entrants will be on the edge of their seats during the awards portion, as the competition is expected to be tough this year. There were more than 470 entries received related to product, people and promotion. More than 20 judges from the homebuilding industry from around the country were brought in to review the

July Traffic & Sales Report Houston Housing Market

The 25 homebuilders in this survey account for approximately 72% of the new single family housing activity in the Houston market, according to their 2011 activity. Based on this percentage, we can assume that the Greater Houston Area sold approximately 2,180 new homes during the month of July 2012.

entries and choose the finalist and winner in each category.

The Grand Award is the crème de la crème of all awards and will be presented to a volume builder, custom builder, developer and remodeler for highest cumulative score. Plus, the recipient of the most marketing awards will be presented with a Grand Award for best promotion.

The Sales and Marketing Council would like to extend a huge “thank you” to Mark Cady with Flagstone Lending Group for being our “Grand Marshall” sponsor of the evening. Mark and his team will receive special recognition throughout the night for their generous support of the event. We would also like to thank all of this year’s sponsors. Without your continued support, events like this could never happen.

This event is an incredible opportunity to bring your team together for a night of recognition and camaraderie. To purchase tickets or inquire about a spon- sorship, please contact Mel Audain at 281- 970-8970 x130 or maudain@ghba.org. We look forward to seeing you at the Houston’s Best PRISM Awards!
