One Stop Sensory Shop in Newcastle. “I saw a need for people with special

needs to make it easier for them to get things to help in everyday life,” she said. “I used to do Nana’s Weighted
Blankets, which proved quite a successful business, but I wanted to expand on the idea. “T e shop off ers many diverse and
wonderful products that clients can see, touch and feel before buying them, from the suppliers online or direct from me.” Ms Ralston stocks a wide range of
products from various autism resources to weighted products and toys, as well as sensory tools and toys. Other products and resources include
Life Skills 4 Kids, Prompt Education, Vuly trampolines, designer wheat bags, Silvereye, Learn 2 B Buddies, Brad’s Little Aussie Autism Shop, Book in Hand, iGoodeez and Cloth for Comfort. Stop Sensory Shop is more than just a
retail outlet, however. “It is a meeting place,” Ms Ralston said. “We have lounges where you can sit
and have a cuppa and chat to other carers or other people with special needs. T ere is a noticeboard which will highlight all the disability events and services in the Hunter.” Apart from the range of sensory
products, the shop also off ers services,
such as Learn to Play the Sensory Way workshops and Auslan song and sign workshops. T ere are also plans to have guest
speakers. Learn to Play the Sensory Way is held every Monday from 10.30am to 11.15am.

there will be Auslan song and sign with Elisabeth Pont. Guest speakers include Shae Rogers
from Small Talk Speech T erapy on Saturday, May 26 at 10am and Amanda Clements, author of Dave Is Brave, who
