Course provides entry-level training in masonry occupations and basic skills for construction trades. Classroom and lab setting instruction covers safety, use of hand and power tools, block cutters, cement mixers, blueprint reading, measurement and estimating. Students work on several projects designed to increase manipulative skills with brick and block. Approximately 360 hours are needed to complete this course. This class is approved by the Department of Apprenticeship Standards for the State of California. Registration processing fee $150

Mason Tenders are professionally skilled laborers that assist masons/bricklayers. Learn to differentiate between types of brick, block, and stone; estimate quantity; quickly set up scaffolds; drive and operate essential tools such as cutting saws and cement mixers; distribute materials efficiently; set up and temper cements; arrange and organize material for safety and production value. Class is approved by the State of California, Department of Apprenticeship Standards.


Registration processing fee $150


Upon successful completion of an ROP course students receive a certificate of completion and a list of competencies attained.
