ProQuip Golf Fresh from renewing its Ryder Cup official licensee contract through 2018,

ProQuip Golf will celebrate its 35th Anniversary by debuting a complete line of performance weatherwear. Its 2016 collection includes waterproof, quiet, breathable, stretch performance and ultra-lightweight rain suits and wind apparel for men and women. A highlight is the new PX5 stormForce, an advanced technology golf rain suit that feels like silk but acts like an unbreakable barrier against wind and rain. Heat and air move efficiently through its fabric membrane, regulating body temperature and maintaining comfort levels. The premium quality finishing includes a superfine mesh drop lining, cushioned collar, VISLON waterproof zips and side adjuster tabs. The Ladies Aquastorm Sienna lightweight rain suit has a soſt satin finish coated with polyurethane for total waterproof protection, breathability and temperature regulation. And the Tourflex Cyclone is a lightweight soſt-shell outer layer that is windproof and water-repellent. The fabric is engineered with four-way stretch for maximum freedom of movement. The polyester soſt shell is infused with bamboo fibers to enhance breathability, wick moisture, neutralise odour and provide antibacterial protection. This wind top is crease resistant and has a textured waffle finish and color contrast panels. www.proquipgolf.com, Stand 4088

Ojee Golf (TALON) Ojee Golf’s new digital training aid – the TALON – delivers real-time, visual

feedback on stance, set-up and angles of address. The device – the brainchild of Teesside-based product designer Matt Hulbert and his father Paul – enables golfers to view their stance, adjust to their best position, and improve muscle memory, consistency and performance. The TALON has a digital display unit that attaches to the top of any golf club and a separate wireless back unit which uses patent-pending technology to remove guesswork by displaying four critical angles of address: spine, club shaſt, club shaſt to spine and clubface rotation. The product was inspired by Jack Nicklaus’s description of the importance of posture in his book Golf My Way. “If you set up correctly, there's a good chance you’ll hit a reasonable shot, even if you make a mediocre swing,” wrote Nicklaus. “If you set up to the ball poorly, you’ll hit a lousy shot even if you make the greatest swing in the world.” Matt Hulbert said: “It’s a truly incredible feeling to make this giant leap across the pond to the American market. It seems like just yesterday we were unveiling the TALON at the 2014 London Golf Show. When we started Ojee Golf, it was never our intention to settle on just one product. We’re already looking to develop two new golfing products in 2016 and we’re even looking into how we can implement the technology into other sporting arenas.” Last summer, Ojee Golf ran a 60-day crowdfunding campaign and took

pre-orders from more than 18 countries. And Matt Hulbert recently took part in the International Festival for Business 2016 in Shanghai, showcasing best-in-class British innovations. www.ojeegolf.com, Stand 1192

Golphin Golphin, a Scottish-based company that makes golf equipment for

children aged between three and 11, is now distributing its products across North America. “Introducing young people to golf at an early age is key to helping them develop a lifelong love of the game, and Golphin equipment allows them to succeed with confidence,” said Calum McPherson, founder and managing director. “We look forward to initiating distribution of Golphin throughout the United States and Canada.” Golphin won two prestigious awards in 2015 – at the inaugural Scottish Sports Business Innovation Awards in Glasgow and at the HSBC Golf Business Forum in Shanghai – and was part of the Swingzone area during the 2015 Open Championship at St Andrews. Golphin came about because McPherson’s son had difficulty playing golf with cut-down clubs. Research and development in 2012, at Strathclyde University’s biomechanical department , led to prototype designs in 2013 and an official launch at the Scottish Golf Show in 2014. Golphin clubs are 22 percent lighter and 35 percent larger than most junior golf clubs, making it easier for players to swing, control and hit. A radial profile was added to the sole of the clubs to provide greater forgiveness for differing lie angles and to accommodate children's various address positions and heights. www.golphinforkids.com, Stand 2425
