PRODUCTS EDITOR'S CHOICE MONITORING NOISE LEVELS AT PORTS
The lightweight and weatherproof SV200 outdoor noise monitoring station from Svantek helps ports to assess the impact of sound levels from sources such as horns, whistles, signals, terminal operations and logistics, on local communities. Designed for unattended long- or short-term noise
monitoring applications, the instrument has a built-in web server that can continuously provide live, real time data to a computer or hand held device. It will send an email or text message if the noise levels go above a pre-set limit, and measures and stores results suitable for automatic reports and detailed information for advanced post processing analysis. Standard measurement functionality includes multi-profile data logging, real time 1/1 and 1/3-octave logging, audio event recording and statistical analysis. Measuring capabilities can be extended with real time audio streaming and weather condition monitoring. All results are securely stored on the built-in 16GB microSD card. The reference direction is user selectable in the instrument configuration and a windscreen reduces noise, even at high wind speeds. As weather conditions have a significant influence on noise measurements the SV200 has an interface for meteo sensors. With the optional SV205 weather station, it can measure wind speed, wind direction, temperature, humidity, ambient pressure and rain. Weather data is stored in parallel to the noise measurements. Additional features include internal heating and a rugged dual layer housing with natural
airflow, enabling it to operate from -30˚C up to +60˚C and in humidity up to 100% RH. Its ‘all-in- one’ design makes it suitable for portable, mobile and permanent noise monitoring installations.

Advanced Non-Intrusive Ultrasonic Flow Measurement
Highly accurate and reliable bidirectional flow measurement of liquids and gases over a wide turndown ratio
Bidirectional communication via all common field buses as well as advanced remote diagnostics
Engineered and approved for use in hazardous areas (ATEX, IECEx Zone 2) and at extreme pipe temperatures (-190 °C up to 600 °C)
Highest cost-effectiveness: - No pipe works - No process shut-downs - Virtually maintenance-free
Zero point stable, drift-free and independent of pipe dimensions, material, pressurisation, pipe noise and the medium flowing inside (calibration traceable to national standards)
A MULTI-FUNCTION FLOW INSTRUMENT
Suitable for continuous monitoring, test rig, consumption metering and flow switching applications, the CUB5 from Titan Enterprises is a multi-function instrument that can display flow rate, total flow, or automatically toggle between the two. This digital instrument has an eight-digit LCD
display panel enabling users to immediately see current flow data. Connection of the CUB5 to the flowmeter can be configured through the use of screwed terminals on the rear of the instrument. It also has selectable pulse damping which prevents erroneous pulses during operation and, used as a totalizer, it can be programmed for one of eight different count modes and/or rate indication with an optional relay card for a total or rate set point. There are two separate count inputs that can be programmed with differing
DC ELECTRONIC LOAD OFFERS ENERGY RECOVERY
New from Intepro Systems is the ELR9000 Series of electronic DC loads. These have an
integral, grid- synchronized inverter designed to return up to 95% of the load test energy back to the grid. With output ratings of 3.5kW, 7kW and 10.5kW – scalable to 105kW – the series offers four common regulation modes: constant voltage, constant

scale factors, with the display being the sum, difference or bi-directional total of these counts. The rate function on the CUB5 can be viewed at a touch of the front panel, via a remote command, or automatically periodically displayed as the instrument cycles through all of its programmed functions. The CUB5 also has an optional relay card which may be configured as either a rate or count function and be set to latch, automatically reset, or reset itself after a pre-set time.
