he new Type 601C miniature pressure sensor from Kistler Instruments (www.kistler.com), available in both charge output and voltage (IEPE) output types, is ideally suited to a wide variety of dynamic pressure measurement applications.

sensitivity of the unique PiezoStar® crystal developed by Kistler, much higher than that possible with quartz, allows small pressure fluctuations which are superimposed on static pressures to be measured with exceptional resolution. In addition to the high sensitivity and small size, the charge output version has an extremely wide operating temperature range from -196 to + 350°C at pressures up to 250 bar. The 601C also benefits for a high natural frequency (>215kHz),

The high-performance sensor measures temperatures within a range of -25 to 350° C on the basis of infrared radiation emitted by the object, regardless of the material it’s made of and its state of aggregation. And thus wenglor is once again demonstrating innovative market competence in the area of optical sensor technology. The measurement of infrared radiation is quick and contactless, and the object itself is not influenced in any way. The temperature of a great variety of objects can thus be reliably measured, regardless of the material they’re made from and their state of aggregation. The sensor measures temperature with a spectral sensitivity of 8 to 14 m within a measuring range of -25 to 350°C. The measured value appears at the integrated, intuitively operable display and is read out via the outputs or the RS-232 port. Thanks to its two switching outputs and an analog output, the sensor is suited for various measuring applications, for example target versus actual value comparison and absolute measurement.

Hipot and Insulation Resistance testers


elonic Instruments have introduced a new range of Hipot (Flash) and Insulation Resistance testers manufactured by Japan based Kikusui. Designated the TOS5300 the three models in the range are designed for use in Withstanding Voltage and Insulation Resistance testing to help ensure the safety of Electrical / Electronic components / equipment. Incorporating and innovative PWM amplifier that achieves high stability and has an input voltage regulation of.3%. The series offer rise and fall time control of the test voltage and a stable output which is unaffected by mains voltage variations, plus the ability to select 50 or 60Hz test frequency. Upper and lower current limits can be set within the range of 0.01mA to 110mA in AC mode and 0.01mA to 11mA in DC mode. AC test voltage is settable from 0.05kV to 5kV. D.C test voltages can be varied from 0 to 6kV. All models will operate from any global AC input voltages and frequencies; and are equipped with a USB interface. Also available for hire.

he WTS Wireless Tilt System is a flexible, IP-67 rated radio telemetry system designed to provide high accuracy remote angle measurement at distances of up to 100M. WTS allows users to record and log data remotely without the cost and impracticality of traditional wired methods. The heart of the system is the WTS Wireless Inclinometer; a high-accuracy, robust instrument utilising MEMS technology and powered by rechargeable batteries with an exceptional (typically) 180 days between charges. The WTS connects remotely to a base station and uses either a PC and / or a handheld data acquisition module to manage the devices and display the results. Both the base station, handheld device and PC software can be included as part of the WTS system.
