COVER STARS HAV
Twelve Travel Weekly Cover Stars have returned to the UK after the trip of a lifetime to Massachusetts. The 12 travel agent winners of Travel Weekly’s flagship annual competition travelled in style, staying in Boston and Cape Cod where they saw the sights as well as each receiving a designer makeover and having a professional photoshoot. The winners will be featured each month throughout 2015,
courtesy of headline sponsors Massachusetts Office of Travel and Tourism and Brand USA, travel partner Virgin Holidays and makeover partner Simon Shopping Destinations. Betsy Wall, executive director of Massachusetts Office of Travel
and Tourism, said: “It was our pleasure to host the 2014 team of winners and we were impressed by their eagerness to explore all that Massachusetts has to offer. “Our partnership with Travel Weekly, Virgin Holidays and Simon Shopping has been a wonderful opportunity for us to connect with the UK travel industry in a fresh and exciting way. We are looking forward to seeing the final photographs and covers.” Sarah Barton, head of trade sales for Virgin Holidays, said:
“Virgin Holidays is thrilled to have once again sponsored Travel Weekly’s Cover Stars initiative and to have been a joint host for
the travel agents winners’ trip to Boston and Cape Cod. “Cover Stars offered us the perfect way to get to know agents
from across the UK and give them a first-hand taster of the city and Cape. It was a pleasure working with the Massachusetts Office of Travel and Tourism, Simon Shopping Destinations and Travel Weekly to collaboratively showcase this fantastic destination to the 12 winning agents.” Lyndsay Rossman, corporate director of tourism for Simon Malls,
said: “Simon Shopping Destinations were thrilled and delighted to once again welcome the UK Cover Stars to our centres. “It was a pleasure to see the group enjoying themselves so much and benefiting from the generosity of our brands at Wrentham Village Premium Outlets, Copley Place and Cape Cod Mall. “We are always delighted to offer a special VIP service to any visiting travel agents from the United Kingdom and look forward to welcoming many more in 2015.”

TRAVELLING IN STYLE
The 2015 Cover Stars flew to Boston in style, experiencing Virgin Atlantic’s Upper Class and Premium Economy cabins from Heathrow. And the return flight was even more special, with the airline’s first Boeing 787 Dreamliner entering service just in time to transport the winners home in unrivalled style and comfort.
In the US, ground transportation was laid on by Boston Common Coach, which provides commissionable transportation packages to Wrentham Village Premium Outlets.
