INTERESTING AND ATTRACTING prospective students, retaining them, ensuring their university experience is positive, whilst also improving efficiencies across student services from admissions to funding is within grasp thanks to Tribal's SITS:Vision, a student- and course-management system designed to work across the entire student journey. It's not just of benefit to higher

education institutes; it also aims to increase student satisfaction and to make life as easy as possible for students, enabling them to have the best experience possible. This includes encouraging students to access the internet to gain information about their academic progress, allowing them information at their fingertips when it suits them. This also increases reliability of delivery and saves time and costs of paper trails previously required for activities such as applications, registrations, examinations and paper-based course assessments.

Geting the marketing right Atracting students and standing out from other universities is critical right from the initial enquiry phase and offering information promptly and efficiently is a key part of helping to build relationships from the first point of contact. With speed of decision-making becoming increasingly important, sending information relevant to a student's stage in the journey is a key differentiator and demonstrates that the university can provide tailored and appropriate communication.

Integrated touchpoints for a seamless service SITS also allows staff to send personalised, step-by-step updates on application status and for other elements such as funding support and interview invitations. This is possible due to Azorus CRM being integrated with SITS:Vision. Also essential is to ensure that the student gets an appropriate response from the university no mater what their touch point and Tribal's integrated solutions allow multiple departments within the university to effectively deal with any query from the student during the application process.

TRIBAL – A SEAMLESS

SOLUTION FOR THE ENTIRE STUDENT JOURNEY

Tribal Group explains how the SITS:Vision student and course-management system helps universities to atract and retain students, manage funding, and act as the central point of information on students and their achievements.

Online registration and freedom to choose On arrival at university, students can register using the online registration system and use the same point of access to tailor their course modules and even choose individual lecture times to atend, leading to lower drop out rates, higher course completion and potentially higher grades.

Keeping on top of the finances Financial information is also available through the portal, so that students can see key dates such as accommodation direct debit payments, tuition fees and bursary payments – and, of course, pay online. University staff can also see the student's debt and offer them financial advice if necessary.

Ease of academic and extracurricular submission and retrieval Assignments can be submited electronically, saving students time; and staff can mark and pass on the assignments electronically and make available the student's marks through the portal and email to let students know the marks are ready. Students can add to their academic

profile throughout their time at university and benefit from the integrated ‘Gradintel’ solution when they graduate so that prospective employers can search for potential employees electronically and view the student's academic and extracurricular activities online.

Early intervention and special cases SITS also allows tutors to identify students who are having difficulties regarding atendance, submiting work or finances and to offer them help and support to overcome these. Students with special requirements

also benefit from SITS so that those who need help with areas such as scribing or additional time in exams can be accommodated.

Capturing student feedback Gaining feedback from students is an important element in retention and the SITS Survey Manager module allows the student to provide feedback about their course and module, or other elements such as the university as a whole or the lecturers.

Flexibility to suit changing needs Importantly, SITS is designed to be flexible and to be tailored to the university's changing processes and requirements; as well as to changes in legislation and statutory requirements. UB
