ABACUS LAUNCHES NEW SPORTS AND PLAY SURFACING COLLECTION
Abacus Playgrounds, the UK’s largest installer of safety surfaces for children’s playgrounds, is launching an impressive new range of sports and play surfacing. The varied range includes three distinctly diff erent types of surfacing, each extremely hard-wearing and fast-draining.
The collection includes synthetic turf, resin- bonded dry aggregate and a multi-purpose, polymeric surface, perfect for Multi-Use Games Areas (MUGAs). Whether you are looking for a new walkway, multi-purpose outdoor playing area or low-maintenance, highly realistic artifi cial grass, there is something in Abacus’ new range to suit virtually any facility.
• The new synthetic turf Abacus Play Grass is a ruggedly durable alternative to real grass, ideal for play as it is non-abrasive, highly UV-resistant and with zero maintenance. Made from a blend of fi bres and twine woven through a polymeric membrane, it is well suited to any area, regardless of size.
• Abacus Resin Bound dry aggregate is a beautifully decorative outdoor surface, ideal for virtually any size area or installation due to its incredible durability. It is porous, supports fast drainage (thus minimising injury through surface water), and is slip-resistant.
• Sport-Top, the third in Abacus’ new range of surfaces, is a continuous polymeric sports surface, ideal for use outdoors. Safe, cost-effective and robust, it provides high-quality play combined with comfort, good grip, minimum risk of injuries and fast drainage after rain. Importantly, it is designed to meet Sport England’s M.U.G.A. Type 3 and 4 specifi cation, making it as versatile as it is hard-wearing.
