Scholarships for students studying in the UK
We have a range of scholarships available for students studying engineering at university.

Scholarships for students applying to start university

The IET offers up to £3,000 per year for UK students who are about to start studying an IET accredited MEng or BEng Engineering or Technology degree course (see ‘Choosing the right University course’) in the UK.
IET Diamond Jubilee Scholarships

Students can apply for an IET scholarship of £1,000 per year for the duration of the degree course: up to 3 years for BEng and 4 years for MEng.
A limited number of scholarships will be awarded in 2014 on a competitive basis.
Eligibility UK resident
Entering an IET accredited BEng or MEng degree in Sept/Oct 2014
Not in receipt of another IET scholarship or grant
Expects to achieve at least 3 ‘A’s at A level, 5 ‘A’s at Higher or 3 ‘A’s at Advanced Higher (or equivalent). Entry opens in January 2014 via online submission.

Undergraduate grants for current second, third or final year university students

The IET offers grants of up to £1,000 for students currently studying an IET accredited degree course, who are expected to achieve 60% or more in their end of year exams (minimum 2:1), and whom achieved a minimum of 300 UCAS points at ‘A’ level.
Postgraduate awards

Students undertaking doctorate degrees, studying either in the UK or overseas, and who have achieved a 2:1 or higher in their first degree, can apply for a scholarship worth up to £10,000.
