Financial help for students
The cost of studying is increasing and the IET is keen to encourage more people to gain the skills needed to become our future engineers.
So the IET provides numerous financial awards and scholarships through the various stages of education.
Arkwright Engineering Scholarships

For year 11 students at schools that are affiliated to the Arkwright scheme, who plan to study A2 levels, Scottish Highers / Advanced Highers or International Baccalaureate in subjects relevant to university study or a higher apprenticeship in engineering or related areas of design.
Scholarships are funded by industry, academia, professional institutions, Armed Services and private donors. Over 300 Arkwright Engineering Scholarship are made available each year. Each Scholarship provides £600 to the student and £400 for the school.
Arkwright Engineering Scholars have access to a range of enrichment opportunities including Arkwright Undergraduate Scholarships valued between £10,000 and £12,000.
