First Arc’teryx european stand-alone store opens in london.
With a reputation as an innovator in the outdoor industry, Arc’teryx has now officially opened its doors in London, the first European stand‐alone store in St Martin’s Lane, Covent Garden. This is a very prestigious pedestrian shopping area and links Long Acre and Seven Dials and is also adjacent to Snow+Rock’s store in Mercer Street. Having introduced Arc’teryx to the UK in 2000, and helped grow the Canadian brand to where it is today, it was only natural that Snow+Rock was chosen as their partner to open a store in the UK.
This store will have the entire Arc’teryx collection covering hiking, alpine climbing, mountaineering as well as wintersports, packs and lifestyle wear. Designed by officeTwelve this exciting 70 m2 space features large landscapes and nature images all taken by Arc’teryx photographers Angela Percival and Brian Goldstone. The flooring is pale grey and the ceilings are black with high steel and concrete displays for the high quality look of Arc’teryx products. Regional Commercial Director EMEA at Arc’teryx Neil Bradley, commented "We're thrilled to continue the rollout of Arc'teryx within the UK. There's a growing, loyal following for the brand and this partner‐store is a new way for us to make more Arc'teryx
products available to our consumers whilst also allowing us to give more of a flavour of what the brand stands for. To do this together with one of our retail partners is also very satisfying; we are really dedicated to working together with our customers to build our joint business.”
The shop will be opening ready for the Autumn/Winter season, showcasing their latest innovations which will include their award‐winning down technology and new Gore‐Tex Pro which is 22% more breathable, windproof, waterproof and rugged than the previous product generation.
