Te Triangle Curling Club in North Carolina
has been curling in the Triangle since 1995. Te TCC has purchased seven acres of land in Dur- ham, on the northern tip of Research Triangle Park (RTP), and is now soliciting donations to build a dedicated curling facility. Te Detroit Curling Club was selected by the
World Curling Federation, along with the San Francisco Bay Area Curling Club, to host “Road to the Olympics – Olympic Celebration Tour.” Te tour will be in Detroit Nov. 8-10. Attendees can register for a time slot on Nov. 8 or Nov. 9. Participants are also invited to a meet and greet reception Friday or Saturday evening and a mini tournament for possible additional games play ed on Sunday. Attendees will learn the basics of delivering, sweeping and rules of the game from experienced instructors including 2006 Olym- pic Gold Medalist Jamie Korab of Canada. Visit

North Dakota Region Construction continues on schedule at the

Te Lilac City Curling Club in Spokane has

Spotlight on Minnesota: According to Shawn Rojeski, progress continues on the multi-million
dollar renovations at the Hibbing Curling Club (above), including the following highlights: • All three old refrigerated floors (two concrete, one sand) have been removed and new fill has been brought in. (Note: original concrete floor was installed in approximately 1925, second concrete floor in the 1960s, and the most recent sand floor was installed in the mid-1980s) Sub-floor heating pipes are being installed and nearing completion.

• New header and cooling pipes are starting to be run. •
Installing a new viewing wall with seamless glass on each sheet.
• Concrete floor is scheduled to be poured Oct. 1. • Clean-up to begin immediately aſter concrete floor is poured. • New walkways and carpet aſter clean-up. • • •
