Hosokawa Micron Ltd announces the development of the new design, low noise Whisper-Booth. This compact Downflow Booth achieves noise levels of approximately 60dba, which is less than a normal conversation, making it one of the quietest downflow booths on the market today.
Capable of delivering OELs of <1µg/m3 this new Downflow Booth is ideal for applications where it needs to be positioned within ‘quiet zones’ or within multi- processing areas where acoustic interference would be a problem and when ‘silent running’ is more preferable.
Always at the forefront of containment technology design, Hosokawa Micron engineers have worked closely with customers in the development of the Hosokawa Whisper-Booth to ensure it meets both containment level requirements and low noise levels, to satisfaction.

NORD DRIVESYSTEMS introduces new smooth-surface motors for high-hygiene applications. The three-phase induction motors without cooling fins are especially well-suited for applications in the food and beverage industry, since they are easier to clean than finned motors. Manufactured from aluminum, the motors can be finished with the nsd tupH surface treatment for a corrosion protection level similar to that of stainless steel drives and without the danger of flaking that occurs with coatings. The NORD-developed treatment is compliant with FDA Title 21 CFR 175.300 requirements. Non-ventilated and ventilated variants with ingress protection of at least IP66 are available, initially in sizes 80, 90, and 100 with motor power output from 0.37 to 2.2 kW. Efficiency levels corresponding to IE2 or higher ensure resource-friendly operation.
Brakes and full thermal motor protection (bimetal temperature sensor or thermistor temperature sensor) can be optionally ordered in addition to incremental encoders. The smooth surfaces enable rapid and easy cleaning and are thus ideal for hygienic solutions, especially in combination with washdown gearboxes from NORD. GT Radial extends medium sized truck portfolio with new regional all-position sizes
GT Radial is continuing to build its comprehensive portfolio for medium sized trucks by launching two new sizes of its popular GAR820 regional all-position pattern tyre. Initially available in 215/75R17.5, the brand has added 205/75R17.5 and 225/75R17.5 with 235/75R17.5 and 245/70R17.5 currently in development and due for release later in the year
