RECYCLING & WASTE HANDLING
The highly versatile Systec 160 hydraulic injection moulder will allow RMG to instantly react to styling changes and market demands
RMG Plascomp extends capabilities with Systec 160 order
Midlands-based RMG Plascomp – a pioneer of material recycling
and re-manufacturing – has ordered a Systec 160 hydraulic injection moulding machine from Sumitomo (SHI) Demag UK. Described as ‘the all-round processer of plastics for every
sector’ and ‘suitable for practically any production job’, the Systec 160 will boost the capabilities of this firm which already offers a 24/7 ‘one stop shop’ service for clients wanting their products manufactured, packed, stored and distributed globally by a single provider. For businesses keen to boost their green credentials, RMG likens itself to a ‘closed loop recycling station’. It can organise and re- process discarded plastics into manufacture-ready plastic components and produce the finished item, all from one location. Managing Director, Richard Grainger, comments: “Our clients like the idea of their plastic components being regenerated from another source, it ensures transparency re; product traceability and reduces their carbon footprint.” Regardless of clients’ needs; whether recycling and
re-manufacturing, or simply manufacturing from new, Richard advises the versatility of the single-shot Systec 160, due for delivery in June, will enable his firm to instantly react to styling changes and market demands.
Sumitomo Demag Central Area Sales Manager, Kevin Heap, confirms: “It’s incredibly flexible; accommodating any number of injection moulding variations. The short cycle times and high degrees of precision ensures it delivers maximum efficiency with a superb price/performance ratio and our servo-pump option reduces energy consumption by up to 45%.”
