First Doosan DX700LC Excavator Sold in Germany

In a deal agreed at the Bauma 2013 Exhibition in Munich, Germany, Kafril & Reinwald Spezialabbruch GmbH, the leading demolition company based at Hohburg (OT Großzschepa) near Leipzig, has purchased the first top-of-the-range Doosan 71.5 tonne DX700LC crawler excavator in Germany. The order was secured by Doosan dealer, Ziesmann Baugeräte GmbH of Torgau and was celebrated in style at Bauma, next to the DX700LC excavator on the Doosan stand. Kafril & Reinwald Spezialabbruch GmbH was formed in 2011 as a joint venture between the companies, Kafril Demolition GmbH and Reinwald Disposal GmbH. Before the formation of the new business, both companies had been trading successfully for over 20 years, offering unmatched expertise and experience in the areas of demolition, earthmoving, waste handling and environmental engineering. Overall, the joint venture employs more than 200 highly trained and dedicated personnel, working on projects throughout Germany. Jens Karnahl, Chief Executive Officer of

Kafril & Reinwald Spezialabbruch GmbH, commented on the sale: “I have visited Doosan in South Korea twice with Roland Ziesmann, principal at Ziesmann Baugeräte GmbH, and have been impressed by the company and its people and the way they achieve their goals. “The DX700LC model is the second Doosan

excavator we have purchased from Ziesmann Baugeräte GmbH – we also own a DX140LCR reduced tail swing excavator which has

performed very well since it was purchased. The excellent

performance of

the DX140LCR, together with our close relationship and trust in our dealer alongside our belief in Doosan technology and back-up were key factors in the purchase decision behind the new DX700LC excavator.” The largest model in the Doosan crawler excavator range, the DX700LC excavator combines the highest levels of performance and durability to maximise productivity in demolition and many other applications, including mass excavation and truck loading. The key features of the DX700LC model include: • Huge engine power, traction, bucket and arm breakout forces

• Short cycle times for demolition and all other applications

• High lift capacities to maximise

Hungarian Municipal Association adds to JCB fleet

The North Balaton Regional Municipal Association for Solid Waste Management has purchased 10 specially-adapted JCB materials handling machines, to cope with increased demand at waste handling sites south-west of Budapest, Hungary. The order, supplied by JCB’s Central European dealer Terra Hungaria Epitogep, includes four Loadall 527-58 Wastemasters telehandlers, two 535-95 Loadalls and four TLT-30 forklifts, one powered by a diesel engine and three using low-emission LPG gas power. The Wastemaster specification machines are equipped with screen guards to protect the operators and the machines from falling material, while reversible cooling fans help to maintain maximum engine cooling efficiency in dusty conditions. SG Revolution semi-solid tyres have also been specified, to eliminate the risk of punctures and to guarantee maximum uptime. The Association’s modern waste treatment centres have been designed to handle waste from across the North Balaton region, incorporate sorting areas, mechanical treatment halls, biological stabilisation and separate drop-off areas. The North Balaton Waste Management

Project will benefit 300,000 people in the region, with the sites handling up to 120,000 tonnes of waste per year. State-of-the-art computerised measurement is being used to ensure that air quality is maintained and noise

levels are kept to a minimum. Terra won the public procurement deal over two other manufacturers with competitive pricing, market-leading warrantees and the guarantee of total service support.

JCB equipment had already proven reliable in the construction of new waste plants in the North Balaton region, where two JCB 436HT wheeled loaders and a 531-70 Wastemaster telehandler have been working successfully for some time. With the addition of productive, specialist JCB waste handling machinery the Association can ensure that material is moved efficiently at all stages of the process within the sites.

The Loadall telehandlers are powered by

JCB’s powerful Dieselmax engines, ensuring maximum productivity with low fuel consumption and reduced noise levels. JCB’s Wastemaster specification takes machine protection and operator safety to new levels, incorporating underbelly protection and light guards. Powerful hydraulic systems allow the Loadalls and fork lifts to work with a range of waste handling buckets and attachments, increasing versatility and maximising utilisation for the customer. They are also equipped with JCB’s LiveLink telematic system for constant real-time monitoring, guaranteeing maximum uptime. www.jcb.com
