Uform expands its field-based sales team U


form has expanded its field-based sales team with the appointment of Daren Gibson and Augusto Morelli to two newly created Area sales management positions in the South West and North west.


Daren has been in the kitchen industry for the last 7 years having worked for Mark Wilkinson and a large Kitchen Retailer. Augusto has been in the industry for the last 20 years having worked for a leading Italian door and component manufacturer and more recently Woodfit as an Area Sales Manager.


Daren and Augusto’s credentials and experience will help add value to our customers business and we are delighted to welcome them both to the Uform team,” said Eamon Donnelly, Managing Director of Uform. “Their 27 years combined experience has helped them gain invaluable experience and insights into the independent kitchen retail Market.


Their appointment extends to 6 the number of Uk Area Sales Managers and comes at a very exciting time at Uform, with a number of very exciting new product launches planned for 2013 and a new on-line ordering portal.

Award-winning hotel tiled with BAL


The Ampersand Hotel won its first awards within weeks of its opening with BAL products playing a significant part. Building Adhesives Limited worked with architects Dexter Moren Associates to create the initial specification, providing consultancy to main contractor John Sisk & Son and tiling contractor Dyson-Briggs & Sons throughout the project.


The hotel has approximately 1,485 m2 of tiling fixed with BAL products onto different backgrounds and substrates including plasterboard, plaster, timber (with overlay), concrete, marine ply and steel.


“BAL has outstanding products supported by unbeatable free consultancy,” comments Shaun Easter of Dexter Moren. “They understand the needs of architects and make sure that these are met.”


High quality tiling is fundamental to The Ampersand Hotel. A dozen tile types in many sizes include polished marble, polished silestone quartz and basalt in various colours.


“There is no doubt that throughout the hotel the tiling looks quite stunning,” concludes general manager Roberto Pajares. “We could not wish for better.”


Claire Lambert is promoted to Brand Director for Showerwall


Claire Lambert has been promoted from being Brand Manager to an enhanced role as Brand Director for the Showerwall brand, with effect from February 20th.


Claire has been responsible for Showerwall for the past five years, overseeing its successful major re-launch at KBB 2012. Her new role will now include wider commercial


responsibilities in addition to product development, distribution and brand management.


Says Claire of her new position:


“Showerwall is now a world apart from where it was when I started and we are proud of that success and I am looking forward to growing


Showerwall even more strongly in the coming years.”


Showerwall is available from nineteen distribution points nationwide including IDS, Ideal Bathrooms, Q4 Bathrooms and Formula 1, on a delivery lead time of 24-48 hours.
