24% Uplift in Sales Delivers Record Results for Electrolube

Electrolube, leading provider of electro-chemicals for the global electronics industry, is pleased to report record results for the year ended 31st December 2011. The company achieved a year-on-year increase in sales of 24% in Europe alone compared to 2010, making 2011 the highest turnover year in the company’s 70 year history. The group increased by 10% overall last year, the biggest turnover on record, and achieved this during a substantial year-long move to a new manufacturing and production facility in Leicestershire, UK. Developing new products to keep up with rapid changes in industry trends

and extending the company’s product portfolio with key distributors, have been instrumental in achieving buoyant sales growth. In 2011, Electrolube introduced products with improved environmental properties, such as the EADH air duster and FREH refrigerant, a new silicone range, Surface Mount products, resins and new conformal coatings. As a result, the company is expanding its Research & Development Department in 2012 to increase product innovation and further strengthen the R&D team. Changes to the Sales team have also had a beneficial impact on the

company’s burgeoning industry profile. Jade Bridges, formerly Electrolube’s R&D Manager for 8 years, was appointed as European Technical Support Specialist to work alongside the Sales team to boost the level of technical support service throughout Europe and provide expert solutions for customers seeking new materials to tackle old problems. Ron Jakeman, Managing Director of Electrolube, said, “We are delighted

with Electrolube’s sales achievements over the past year, especially as it took the entire year to move factory machinery and production to a bigger manufacturing site. The strong market for LED applications undoubtedly played a part in this outstanding result and our reputation for providing efficient solutions has increased. It has been an impressive 70th anniversary year and the growth will enable us to continue to deliver cutting edge new products to the market and ensure high standards of technical expertise and service.” Despite the uncertainty surrounding 2012, Electrolube forecasts 10% growth

in Europe this year. With offices in Brazil, China, Australia, USA, Germany and France, the electro-chemicals manufacturer expects to see continued growth of products throughout the year, particularly those developed specifically for LED applications. These include the two-part optically clear silicone resin, SC3001, which saw record growth in China and Australia in 2011, the APL conformal coating and UR5562 resin for potting LEDs. ACD Initiates Kitting System Upgrade

ACD, a leading supplier to the electronics industry, announces a new system for preparing projects for delivery to the manufacturing floor. In keeping with ACD’s pursuit of ‘best practices’ within the market, the new system, in conjunction with the company’s process control and traceability software, will allow for even greater visibility of materials, both physically and within the inventory database. “ACD has reviewed all of its systems

as we have prepared for our AS9100 certification, and our materials handling area is a place we felt we could improve from good to excellent, so we did,” commented Scott Fillebrown, President and CEO of ACD, about the new system. Kit components and bare boards will be initialized into the tracking software upon arrival at the dock and placed into ESD bins and carts by Quantum Storage Systems, each carrying a unique bin identification barcode. This system of standardized bin sizes will allow for consistent handling of materials while still maintaining the maximum flexibility needed to service ACD’s diverse customer base and workload, from small quick-turn prototype runs to large production builds.
