Derek Oberman married Adina Mindick on June 7, 2009. A fourth-generation em - ployee of a family-owned insurance bro- kerage in White Plains, NY, he took over the operation of the 35-employee firm after his father’s death last year. He and Adina live in White Plains with their dog Miles.

In Hayward, CA, Pia Shah teaches Eng - lish at Moreau Catholic High School, a Holy Cross prep school. She lives in Oak - land, CA, with two cats. This summer, she will oversee a cultural exchange program with Oakland’s sister city of Funabashi, Japan.

Last fall Barbara Sussman, UWW ’05,

exhibited paintings at the Artist Fellow - ship exhibition in NYC and the ASA Land scape for Landsake in Greenwich, NY. She authored an article for the Art Stu dents League journal Linea last spring. Barbara is serving a second term as presi- dent of the Hudson Valley Chapter of the American Society of Appraisers.

In December Jamie Peterson

appeared in the play Power Burn 3, part of the Fight Fest at the Brick Theatre in Williamsburg, VA. He played the sole male role—“the kindly, delicate temp” who develops a crush on an office co- worker—in the “fun, campy, upbeat show that satisfies that craving for spunky women kicking each other’s behinds.”

Georganna Millman, UWW ’06, has

authored a second book of poetry, Set Theory, published in March by Finishing Line Press as part of its New Women’s Voices series. Her first book, Formulary, won the Astounding Beauty Ruffian Press 2008 Poetry Award. Both are available at Amazon.com.
