AERODEF 2017 PREVIEW

Melt Pool Metallurgy QA Monitoring PrintRite3D is a next-generation, in-process, quality assur- ance software for real-time melt pool metallurgy monitoring. The app uses proprietary software algorithms to extract relevant features collected by temperature and spectral sen- sors monitoring the AM melt pool. By comparing relevant features from the melt pool to a known good baseline an Inspect quality report is generated and a product accep- tance decision can be made. The latest Inspect 2.0 software release includes new features for process improvement and part validation. The new Scanviewer provides layer-by-layer 2D visualization displaying nominal and suspect regions. Lo- cation mapping for part-by-part discrimination of off-nominal process conditions with 2D and 3D imaging provides for process optimization and anomaly detection. The web-based software resides in the IIoT Cloud, enabling customers to assure product quality layer-by-layer and part-by-part on a real-time basis while providing for statistical process control. Quick-Change Workholding, Toolholding Kontec KSC-F single-acting clamping vises with fi xed jaw achieve high clamping forces at comparably low torque for machining raw and fi nished parts. The 160° Quick Clamp force intensifi er clamps workpieces in less than a second without retighten- ing with a torque wrench. Tendo E compact is a universal hydraulic toolholder that can be used for milling, drilling, and ream- ing. The Tendo

hydraulic expansion toolholders can safely transfer torques of VQ UP
