Madison Heights, Michigan, show- cased its CellaCast pyrometers. Te PA 80/PT 180 are recommended when measuring on a stationary iron, while the PA 83/PT183 are suggested for use on applications where the metal stream might move side-to-side. CellaCast are two-color pyrometers designed for mea- suring temperature of molten metal and equipped with an algorithm that filters out and uses a signal obtained from the metal surface.

Sand Cooler Simpson Technologies, Aurora,


Illinois, displayed sand preparation technology, including the Model MC- 100 Simpson Multi-Cooler, a 100 tons per hour version of the popular sand cooler and pre-conditioning system. Te equipment on display will be installed at Dotson Foundry, Mankato, Minnesota.


Vertical Molding DISA Group, Oswego, Illinois,


displayed its Disamatic D3, which has been sold to OSCO Industries, Ports- mouth, Ohio. Te Disamatic D1-D3 series is the company’s new signature vertical molding series. Te D3 is replacing the previous Disa 230 and 231 lines. It is equipped with a double index system and single pouring unit with X-ray visualization.

its Accucast ceramic casting media. Available in low-density and intermedi- ate density, it provides a combination of consistent thermal, physical and chemi- cal properties. According to Carbo, the casting media provides up to 69% lower cost per cu.ft. of product compared to zircon sand.

continuous flow sand heaters. Te model ECH-300 LP heater sizes range from 20-240 kw and can accommodate sand capacities from 50-2,500 lbs. per minute. Te model ECH-1000 delivers up to 1,000 lbs. per minute of controlled temperature sand to continuous mixers.
