looking for a new owner for Columbus Castings, Columbus, Ohio. According to the Columbus Dispatch, a potential buyer is in the picture that could con- tinue operations. “We are working diligently with
an interested buyer and we are not intending to close our operations,” Nick Crandall, human resources manager, Columbus Castings, said in an email according to the Colum- bus Business Journal.

marked a $2 million expansion with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Allied and a sister auto parts company are on the same land. According to reports, the expansion includes five acres and a 30,000-sq. ft. warehouse. Te company supplies alumi- num and zinc alloys for diecasters.

nia, announced it has renewed its ISO/IEC 17025:2005 accreditation through May 2019. Tis accreditation is similar to the 9001, but applies to firms that do testing.
Caterpillar, Peoria, Illinois, has opened a 3D printing and innovation accelerator and an additive manufac- turing factory in Mossville, Illinois. The facility will have commercial and advanced 3D printers.
