12. A FAST TRAIN TO PARIS


Disembark your riverboat this morning after breakfast, then it’s all aboard the TGV, one of France’s high-speed trains, for a fast trip to Paris. Enjoy a city sightseeing tour, before arriving at your hotel late afternoon – it is just a few minutes walk from the Musée du Louvre, the Place Vendome and the Palais Garnier. The remainder of the day is free for you to head out for an evening in Paris as you like; there are boulevards to stroll, pastries to sample, sidewalk cafés to enjoy, wines to savor and French fare to try that tempts every palate. 13. MUSEUMS & A FAREWELL AT FOUQUET’S Ernest Hemingway called Paris a “moveable feast,” and that’s how you’ll see it this morning as we drive you past its iconic landmark sights. You will have a choice of museum visits as well, choosing to visit the Musée du Louvre, Musée National de l’Orangerie in the Tuileries Gardens or the Musée d’Orsay housed in a former Belle Époque train station, subject to weekly closures.
