and 2014. His best daughter is Feithy ER Ruth EX95, now in her fifth lactation she has produced more than 50t in her lifetime to date and is classified with an EX97 udder. Ruth was supreme champion at the Welsh Dairy Show 2013 and was awarded reserve All Britain Mature Cow the same year. “We also used another Allen son Feithy Megaman, he is out of Loford Stormy Meg EX94 and is also backed by six generations of Excellent dams. Junior cows in the herd are sired by Feithy Aur, a Goldwyn son out of the 100t Feithy Storm Adona EX94, a granddaughter of Aitkenbrae Starbuck Ada EX94. Classified EX90 he has bred six Excellent and 16 Very Good daughters in the herd.

Gras and Impression.” Looking back over the herd’s history the first cows were bought privately from Mr and Mrs Vaughan’s Melcourt herd then more cows were bought when the herd was dispersed. Key families that have been established from Melcourt purchases include the Lilac, Lavender, Tilly, Lilian and Margaret lines. “We have also invested in Canadian breeding which includes the purchase of Shoremar Adona VG89 - which we flushed - and embryos from the Maude family out of an EX90 Storm daughter. British families have also been introduced to the herd, one of which was Honesberie Gibson Celeste who was purchased at the Genetic Elite Sale. Stock from the Raven and Gloria families were purchased as young stock at the Loford dispersal and are quickly growing in numbers too. One family that has members selling in the TAG Sale is the Rachel line, this stems from Rockset Radius Rachel 2 EX92-3E who was purchased at the Pisgah Dispersal. Rachel produced over 80t lifetime as well as producing five bulls which have all sold for breeding and two daughters. In 2014 we bought Cramar Toystory Cutie and Cramar Seaver Lulu at the Cramar dispersal to add new bloodlines to the herd.”
