pened in December and covering an area of 4.5 acres (nearly 2 hectares), Amaazia Water Park – kitted out by Polin – can accommodate up to
3,000 visitors daily. A planned second phase of the resort will include a Bollywood themed indoor amusement park, bird park, snow park, shopping mall, hotel, banquet halls, rooms for weddings and other functions, a three-screen cinema and “7D” theatre. This far-reaching facility is being developed by the Sanderson Group and will eventually cover 16 acres (6.5 hectares). Guests entering the Amaazia Water Park encounter an Amazonian rainforest of decorative features including many colourful animals and tropical birds. Polin's contributions includes such features as India's first King Cobra, as well as the region's largest water play area and a large children's play area. The new park is owned by the Rajgreen group of companies, one of the fastest-growing conglomerates in India. It was officially opened by the chief minister of the Gujarat State in the presence of dignitaries including the deputy chief minister and popular singer Badshah, who composed and sang Amaazia's theme song. Rajgreen executive director Alpesh Kotadia also attended the inauguration.

As well as King Cobra, the Turkish manufacturer's
signature racing slide full of twists, turns and a serpent head finale, the waterpark comprises almost a dozen slide complexes and attractions, all with Polin's “shiny on both sides” RTM (resin transfer moulding) finish. Thrill-seekers will love the Looping Rocket with its 360° loop and launch capsule 73 feet (22m) up in the air. One of Polin's most popular extreme slides, the Space Boat begins with a high-speed enclosed tube slide that discharges into a huge, open bowl where centrifugal force whirls ride around the insides until they drop out through the centre and experience a breathtaking splash below. The Black Hole is a part-open/part-closed slide in which riders enjoy the full effects of Polin's Natural Light Effects, created by water sluicing through the tubes and interacting with sunlight. No fewer than four combination slides are featured at Amaazia Water Park. The Freefall and Body Slide combo offers an exhilarating drop for waterpark guests who want to experience the thrill of a freefall without the scary finish. Connected to it is an open slide that ensures a safe, smooth ride requiring no mats. The Twister Racer and Windingo combo is a four-lane multi slide. Merged into its design is Polin's Windigo, a thrill ride that sends guests through side-by-side enclosed tubes that spread out to create geometrical curving patterns high above the ground.
Guests sliding along the Navigatour and Black Hole's
443ft (135m) path slip in and out of the light as they experience an amazing light show. In the Blackhole portion, riders continue along a path of fast-changing colours and designs through multiple turns and inclines. Then there's the Black Hole and Turbo Lance combo, which starts slowly in the but quickly picks up velocity before connecting to Polin's Turbo Lance extreme slide. On this section, riders experience a steep drop that propels them steeply up a giant vertical slide. Keeping kids busy is a water play structure (type Polin B9), which incorporate numerous fun elements such as tipping buckets, slides, net climbs and water cannons.
