PRODUCT NEWS set free vrf with off coil temperature control LG

LG Electronics has announced the release of its latest variable refrigerant fl ow (VRF) solution, the Multi V S Heat Recovery. For small to medium- sized spaces, this lightweight model off ers heating and cooling as well as domestic hot water, with installation fl exibility. An industry fi rst, this front discharge, Multi V S Heat Recovery model fi ts the gap between Multi Split

systems and large VRF systems.

LG’s new VRF system boasts superior energy effi ciency, evidenced by a 3.90 EER in cooling operation and a 4.39 coeffi cient of performance (COP) in heating operation.

The Multi V S Heat Recovery Dual Sensing Control, coupled with its Comfort Cooling option, provides a comprehensive automated solution reacting to multiple climatic conditions for optimal energy effi ciency with maximum comfort levels.

The Multi V S Heat Recovery has impressive piping fl exibility with a 150m longest pipe length and 50m elevation between outdoor and indoor units, giving building designers the freedom to implement a wide range of confi gurations.

It was back in 2013 that Swedish-owned company Swegon took over cooling hire specialist Chillers4Hire, as part of its acquisition of the Coolmation Group.

Condensate formed during operation is usually discharged via a condensation pipe installed through the room. This can now be installed out of sight in the false ceiling

thanks to the option of the integrated condensation water pump. The units can be cleaned without having to fi rst dismantle a pipe, and can quickly start cooling again.

Development of the Dual Compact air cooler was tailored to customer needs and application requirements. With a capacity of 2-25 kW and availability for HFC and CO2, the dual discharge air cooler variants cover the whole range of applications.

The Dual Compact sets standards for use in processing rooms, with units available optionally in a special draught-reduced construction. In the standard version, the casing and tray of the Dual Compact air coolers are made of corrosion-resistant aluminium alloy with powder coating, and the stainless steel brackets for ceiling mounting are integrated in the casing. Coil Defender corrosion protection is available. The edges, bevelled at a 45° angle, prevent dirt build-up; the outer tray is thermally decoupled to prevent water condensation. www.guentner.com

Four years later, and having recognised the opportunities available in the HVAC hire market, Swegon has continued to invest heavily in its sales force and fl eet of hire equipment. This investment, along with 30 years of hire market experience, has enabled Swegon to achieve a loyal and enviable client base, alongside increased repeat orders and booming new business. Clients are in a wide variety of industries, including automotive, construction, events and fi lm, in addition to facilities management, healthcare and the NHS.

Demonstrating its continued success and investment in the hire sector, Swegon opened a new dedicated hire centre this year in Coalville, near Leicester.

If that wasn’t enough, the business has also recently added a new range of energy-effi cient electric, diesel and air-to-air heaters to its ever expanding portfolio of products.

Stephen Busette, head of Swegon Hire, commented: “This is an incredibly exciting time for our hire division. We work in a fast paced environment where not only is the pressure to perform at its peak; it is also an environment where the customer needs assurance of a capable and dependable service, and that’s where we come in.” To fi nd out more about Swegon’s hire division, call 0800 093 7929 or visit www.swegon.co.uk/hire.
