Returning confi dence
T
his last month has seen a lot of movement in the market. AMP has
been the talk of the town of course, with Panasonic announcing its intentions with a bang (page 4). Other players too are entering, re-entering, or signifi cantly upping their game in the UK, such as Petra, Midea and Hitachi. Because these investments are already underway, this is all a sign that, whatever the political landscape brings, Britain really is open for business, and it’s an exciting time to see how it all plays out.
On the lighter side, industry golf events are well and truly back, better and growing in number and attendance – another sure sign of industry confi dence. In other news, the entries for the ACR News Awards have closed now and it’s time to get on with voting and judging. When you book your places for the Awards on 24 January 2018, don’t forget that it’s alongside the HVAC & Refrigeration Show, so why not maximise the opportunities and make a day of it?
