enthusiastic, energetic and fun, although she prefers to be in the background. She is a driving force behind big international conferences, with hundreds of technical papers to review and allocate. She is equally dedicated to helping a single Cool Talk


or masterclass run smoothly. Always a calm, reassuring voice, whether briefi ng a speaker or fi xing an IT glitch, she supports committee chairs, members, and speakers alike, and none of the IOR programmes would happen without her diligent and patient work.
