DAMIAN WISZNIEWSKI Damian Wiszniewski has


been deeply involved in the refrigeration industry for many years. He is a dedicated member of the IOR, serving on the Board of Trustees and chairing the Membership Committee. Locally, Damian is the vice chair of the Hampshire Refrigeration Society (HRS) and the chair of the South West and South Wales Refrigeration Society (SWRS), working hard to support and improve the refrigeration industry in these areas. GEMMA DORMER I started working in the


industry back in 2018, joining as an apprentice refrigeration and air conditioning engineer


studying at Eastleigh College. Since starting in the industry, I have passed my Level 2 and Level 3 diplomas in Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, and Heat pumps, Level 3 in CO2


service and


maintenance, and my ammonia handling. I have had a wide range of experience with the tools, starting in the rental area, then making my way into commercial service and installation, and most recently into industrial. In 2022, I won fi rst place in the Student of


the Year Awards in the ACR Journal, ACR News Awards, and the IOR Student of the Year. I am a keen, active member of the WIRACHP committee, and I love to encourage people to enter the industry. I am currently helping mentor a few students at Eastleigh College. I like volunteering in my spare time to help students fi nd placements within the industry. ASTRID PRADO A Chartered Marketer and


Member of the Institute of Refrigeration, currently serving as head of marketing of Star Refrigeration, co-chair of the IOR Women in RACHP Group, and board member of INWIC. With over 20 years in the cooling sector, she has worked to accelerate the adoption of eLearning training methodologies and diversity initiatives across the industry. Her contributions include partnering with UNEP to promote eLearning for RACHP engineers worldwide, eliminating educational barriers, and supporting the introduction of ozone and climate-friendly technologies in national HCFC phase-out plans. She also led the Women in RACHP group’s gender parity survey to raise awareness and action across the sector.


As an advocate for promoting technical and non-engineering disciplines in cooling, Astrid believes collaboration drives innovation and plays an important role in creating a more inclusive and sustainable industry. She also shares her expertise as a guest lecturer for MBA students at the University of Glasgow to inspire future business leaders to consider careers in sustainable engineering fi elds by reinforcing the close connection between business strategy and environmental responsibility.

Martyn Cooper Commercial Manager at FETA, Martyn joined the Federation in May 2015 after a 37-year career in the chemical industry. Initially working for ICI within their plastics business, Martyn was involved in the sales and marketing of refrigerants, initially with ICI KLEA and then its antecedents, Ineos Fluor and Mexichem Fluor. His fi nal position was regional sales manager for Northern Europe. Martyn’s role now includes supporting various sections within several of FETA’s member associations: BRA, HPA, and HEVAC. He has also


been involved in the launch and promotion of the recent BRA Putting into Use Replacement Refrigerants (PURR) report. Martyn’s future work will include raising the profi le of FETA and its member associations and highlighting the benefi ts of trade association membership. Stephen Gill Steve is an HVACR, energy consultant, and Head of the Secretariat for World Refrigeration Day. A past president of the Institute of Refrigeration, Stephen has enjoyed a long career in the HVACR and energy sectors. After working for several major contractors, Stephen formed the specialist consultancy Stephen Gill Associates in 2004, helping industrial system end-users make informed decisions regarding energy effi ciency and sustainability. Kelly Bullivent With 17 years of experience at Fujitsu General Air Conditioning, Kelly has built a strong foundation in the HVAC industry. Before transitioning to marketing,

John Skelton John has worked in the RACHP industry for 40 years. He started as an apprentice working for Sainsbury’s Supermarkets. I’ve worked as an end-user, consultant, contractor and for an OEM.
